Walter Allen was a long time California Turtle and Tortoise Club member who gave many years of service to the Club. He died peacefully, in the early hours of August 2, 2007, at Kindred Hospital of Santa Ana.
No services will be held per his request. Walter served as a Chapter and Executive Board officer for over twenty years, and was editor of the Tortuga Gazette for more than decade. He is most well known to the general public as the owner of Casa De Tortuga, his Fountain Valley estate that featured the turtles of the world and that attracted thousands of visitors annually. |
