TURTLE SURVIVAL ALLIANCE & IUCN/SSC TORTOISE AND FRESHWATER TURTLE SPECIALIST GROUP JOINT SYMPOSIUM

The Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA) and the IUCN/SSC Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group (TFTSG) are pleased to announce the dates of their joint Symposium, Monday - Thursday, August 16 - 19, 2010 in Orlando, Florida (immediately preceding the National Reptile Breeders Expo in Daytona). This is the 8th annual conference hosted by the TSA, and has become the world's largest gathering of tortoise and freshwater turtle biologists, turtle enthusiasts, and captive breeding specialists in the world.

As the tradition continues, we are grateful for the generous support of our conference title sponsor, ZooMed. This promises to be a major international conference, with over 100 presentations. 32nd ANNUAL GOPHER TORTOISE COUNCIL MEETING
October 7-10, 2010
Alabama 4-H Center, Columbiana, Alabama

Conference sessions will focus on traditional meeting topics, such as gopher tortoise ecology, commensal species ecology, and upland habitat conservation efforts. On Saturday afternoon, we will remember a gopher tortoise conservation pioneer.
